Festival season is once again upon us. For many, that means a few days of music, fun and sleeping at a campsite next to the festival site. But anyone who has ever been to a festival campsite knows that good preparation is half the battle. From not enough space in your backpack to waking up in a sauna tent. With the right preparation, you can often avoid a lot of hassle! Therefore, below are some camping hacks for festival season that you can easily apply!
Lightweight (camping) gear
A compact sleeping mat, inflatable pillow and lightweight chair make a world of difference. You'll walk more easily with it from the parking lot and keep space for other camping items.
Keep your tent cool
An aluminum emergency blanket over your tent will keep the sun out and prevent it from getting too hot inside. It's handy on summer days and helps prevent condensation at night. Just make sure you put the silver side out, otherwise your tent turns into a pop-up sauna. Check out the video on Instagram.
Smart packing
Avoid a grab bag of dirty clothes and open tubes of gel in your bag. Divide your stuff into separate bags or packing cubes. That way everything stays dry and organized, even after a rainstorm.
Make it comfortable
A small stool or hammock is set up in no time and offers that little bit of extra luxury compared to sitting on the ground. This way you can really relax in between dancing and singing along.
