The Netherlands is experiencing a boom in caravan sales, which means we can expect plenty of new developments at the upcoming Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, running from Wednesday, September 30, through Sunday, October 4. From established international brands to domestic manufacturers: there will be plenty of new models and caravan premieres for 2027 to discover during the event.
Knaus Nordwind as the new flagship
Big news from Knaus: 65 years after the introduction of the Südwind, a Nordwind is finally on the way. This new flagship model from the German manufacturer is a comfortable, all-season caravan featuring a luxurious interior, a heated double floor, and a high-quality heating system.
The Knaus Nordwind will be available in three layouts, including options such as lengthwise beds, a French bed, and a crosswise queen-size bed, combined with a bathroom that spans the entire width of the caravan.
Knaus will also be showcasing its “Platinum Selection” Sport promotional model in Utrecht in no fewer than six configurations and with a new exterior color.
New luxury model from Lume Traveler
In a completely different vein is the news from Lume Traveler, the Dutch manufacturer of luxury caravans based in Holten. Last year, the brand made its debut at Jaarbeurs Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs and immediately made a big impression with its striking Adventure and Expedition models.
In Utrecht, Lume Traveler is unveiling an expansion of its product line that is lighter, smaller, and more affordably priced, thereby appealing to a broader audience. But, of course, it still features the quality and style we’ve come to expect from Lume.
Caravelair Prioritizes the Dutch Market
Caravelair is coming to Utrecht with an impressive lineup. The French manufacturer has announced that, effective immediately, all models will be available on the Dutch market, including the compact pop-top caravans from its Mini Freestyle sub-brand.
In total, you can choose from no fewer than 23 models and configurations, ten of which are part of the Alba series. The Alba series is also available in four family-friendly layouts with bunk beds, while the compact and lightweight Alba 325 is an all-new model.
The Caravelair Sport Line features, among other things, new interior colors and a handy cooling drawer in the kitchen with a capacity of no less than 150 liters. Caravelair also announces that there will be no price increases.
Easy Caravanning GetAway CS as a family caravan
Last year, Easy Caravanning surprised everyone—friends and foes alike—by becoming the first Dutch manufacturer since 2005 to win the Caravan of the Year title. The GetAway is a very compact, aerodynamic, and lightweight caravan that is perfect for electric tow vehicles, among other things.
Last year, the manufacturer from Drenthe unveiled a prototype featuring a spacious transverse bed combined with a clever folding hatch. This GetAway CS—or Cross Sleeper—will be displayed as a full-fledged production model at the upcoming Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs in the Sport and Xcite versions. You can create two additional sleeping spots in the rear, turning the CS into a true family caravan, while keeping the curb weight under 750 kilograms.
Dethleffs Summer Edition expands to eleven models
Last year at Jaarbeurs Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs, Dethleffs introduced the Summer Edition in three variants specifically for the Dutch market. It proved such a huge success that the German caravan manufacturer expanded the lineup to seven models shortly thereafter and began offering them throughout the rest of Europe as well.
In Utrecht, you’ll get to see four more new models from the Summer Edition. These range from the 490 EST, featuring lengthwise beds in the front and full-width bathroom facilities in the rear, to the tandem-axle 730 FKR with a round seating area and a maximum of no fewer than eight sleeping berths.
Weinsberg CaraLife Goes Completely Gas-Free
At Weinsberg, the CaraCito line is being completely replaced by new models under the name CaraLife. These caravans will be entirely gas-free.
Five layouts will be available, with the 390 QD as the most compact option and the 500 QDK as the largest. The latter features a transverse French bed in the front, a central dinette and kitchen above the axle, and a bathroom and bunk bed in the rear. In total, this caravan can sleep six people.
Tabbert is bringing back the Vivaldi
After several years, Tabbert is reviving the Vivaldi to replace the Pantiga. Four models are currently planned, of which the 490 TD 2.3 is the smallest. Next year, two additional variants with a dual axle will be added to the lineup.
Inside, you can count on the familiar Tabbert comfort, as well as an ingenious kitchen unit featuring, among other things, a pull-out cooktop.
In addition to the Vivaldi and the Cazadora—Caravan of the Year in 2024—Tabbert also offers the Puccini. A brand-new Finest Edition of this model is being released, with the 550 E 2.3 as the smallest variant and the tandem-axle 750 HTD as the largest.
New Adria Alpina and Action
The Slovenian company Adria is presenting a brand-new Alpina: a comfortable caravan suitable for year-round travel and available in the 663 HT, 663 PT, and 903 HT models.
The most striking feature is the multifunctional seating area, which, with its full-fledged chaise longue, feels more like a relaxation lounge. Combine that with features such as the luxurious “Master Chef” kitchen and heated floors, and you’ll want to travel all year round.
In addition, Adria is presenting the completely redesigned classic Action. Twenty years after its introduction, the model was redesigned by the same designer and immediately won a prestigious Red Dot Design Award. There will also be an extra rugged Action Sports model with a “semi-offroad” chassis.
LMC Style 500E with a fold-down bed
A fold-down bed is common in many motorhomes, but we see it much less often in caravans. The new LMC Style 500E is a spacious caravan with no fewer than six sleeping places, thanks in part to a fold-down bed above the seating area.
The fold-down bed sleeps two, while the seating area itself can also be converted into a double bed. There are also two full-length beds in the rear. This makes this LMC ideal for larger families.
