Clike Bike: ultralight Dutch e-bike
A newcomer to the e-bike market is the Clike Bike, a super-compact electric bicycle of 100 percent Dutch manufacture. The e-bikes were developed in the Netherlands and are assembled in a sheltered workshop. There are three models, including the iRider. All bikes have aluminum frames that have special grooves throughout. With the special on Koala Clicker adapter, you can click all kinds of accessories to it without damaging the paint. Such as a bicycle pump, water bottle holder, bag carrier or luggage rack.
The Clike Bike weighs only 16 kilograms; that's ten kilograms lighter than most other e-bikes, which makes it very easy to lift the bike onto the bike rack on the back of the caravan or camper. The Dutch brand achieves this weight saving by using an innovative rear hub that incorporates both the motor and the lithium battery. Control of the motor is done via an app on your phone. With this you can also block a wheel, as an anti-theft feature. In economy mode, the iRider has a range of 60 kilometers, and in turbo mode it is 40 kilometers.
Thetford introduces eco-friendly toilet without chemicals
Thetford, market leader in toilet systems for caravans and motor homes launches the iNDUS ECO, the first Thetford toilet without chemicals. The freestanding toilet features a grinder that grinds in two steps. This minimizes water consumption to less than 5 percent of the flushing water people use at home.
The iNDUS system pumps wastewater to a tank under the vehicle and includes an air filter, eliminating the need for toilet fluids. Another innovation involves a prototype developed in-house for a new separating toilet to be produced that Thetford will be bringing to market in the foreseeable future.
Unique Telair Air Conditioning
Teleco is launching a new air conditioner developed specifically for compact semi-integrated motorhomes and camper vans based on Fiat, Peugeot, Citroën and Opel. What is special about this Telair Ultra Comfort 6000 is that it is not placed on the roof or in a bench box or garage, but under the hood. As a result, you are hardly bothered by compressor noise inside.
The air conditioner is installed in the center of the dashboard, with a special plastic module that draws air from the bottom and blows cold air into the vehicle through two adjustable grilles. You set the desired temperature with the included remote control. The Telair air conditioner uses heat pump technology. This means low power consumption (less than 3 amps) and, in addition, you can also use it as a heater, in spring and autumn. The unit runs on 230 volts and, when plugged in, can run indefinitely. With a sizable lithium pack on board, you can also use the Telair, via the inverter. The Telair Ultra Comfort-6000, which will have its premiere at the Camping & Caravan, is also about ten kilos lighter than other systems.
Refreshing nights with the Vechline Luxuoso roof fan: quiet and rainproof
Also new on the Dutch market is the Vechline Luxuoso roof fan. You can use it to blow warm air out of your camper or caravan. In addition, a roof fan is also ideal during warm nights, when you suck in colder outside air. With a bedroom window on the ventilation setting, it creates a cooling breeze and at the lowest setting the Vechline Luxuoso is barely audible.
Another special feature of the roof fan is that you can continue to use it even during rain (and wind) without it raining in. The roof fan is equipped with LED lighting and mosquito netting and comes standard with a blackout pleated curtain. The Vechline Luxuoso weighs 4.7 kg and can be installed where there is now a standard 40×40 cm roof vent. Available in three versions: transparent, white and black.
Mestic SPA-5000: Compact split air conditioner with whisper quiet night mode and high cooling capacity
In many campsites in summer we see caravans equipped with a so-called split air conditioner, near the window. Such a demountable air conditioner consists of two parts connected by flexible hoses. The flat hoses allow the window to remain closed at the ventilation position. Outside hangs the condenser and on the inside of the window is then the so-called evaporator that blows cooled air inside.
Mestic has a new model, the SPA-5000. Its hefty cooling capacity (1,495 watts and 5,100 BTU) makes it suitable for vehicles up to 6 feet tall. The split-unit air conditioner has three different modes and can be set to a temperature of 16 to 30 degrees. The Mestic air conditioner features a special night mode with a whisper mode of no more than 55 dB. In sleep mode, the lights also turn off. Thanks to the insulation class IPX4, you can leave the unit hanging outside during a rainstorm. The Mestic SPA-5000 runs on 230 volts and consumes only 600 watts.
E-Trailer and SMV: Innovative cooperation for perfect handling and safety
E-trailer is a system where you can monitor various functions in your camper or caravan. For example, the level of gas and water supply, the ball bearing pressure of the caravan, tire pressure and much more. You can also place sensors in the camper or caravan that warn you if a window is still open before you drive, and meanwhile E-Trailer also has a GPS module with track&trace and a burglar alarm.
New is the cooperation with SMV: the manufacturer of air suspension for motorhomes, which greatly improves handling. From now on, you can set the height and firmness of the SMV air springs via the E-Trailer app, for a firmer or smoother suspension. With a preference mode, you can set the ideal position of the SMV air springs at the touch of a button and, in addition, you can also easily level the motorhome by adjusting the air suspension on the left and right rear individually.
