In the past, you might have pulled a stool and a rickety little table out of the trunk, but these days it’s very easy to sit comfortably at the campsite and enjoy a leisurely meal. Under an awning, in a tent porch, or behind a windscreen. At Jaarbeurs Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs, you can try out all these exhibitors’ products—sit, lie down, adjust the awnings, and unzip the tents!
The Dutch brand Travellife manufactures furniture, tableware, coolers, and even awnings, among other items. In Utrecht, you can take a seat on the new Olbia Comfort Grande, a more spacious version of this well-known Travellife lounge chair, featuring a higher backrest, a wider seat, and a weight capacity of up to 200 kilograms. Like the Barletta and Lago models, the Olbia is also available in new colors.
Isabella’s 70th Anniversary
Isabella will be celebrating its (or rather, her)70th anniversary next year, and that upcoming milestone will be highlighted at Jaarbeurs Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs with an XL version of the Thor folding chair, which will also be showcased in a mesh version. The Danish manufacturer is also showcasing a completely new and fully adjustable camping table in Utrecht, along with a collection of stackable cabinets under the motto “tidy is neat.” For added comfort under existing cassette awnings, Isabella offers a series of connectable walls and front panels under the name Partner, while the new Fellow sidewall can also be expanded with a windscreen. In addition, the Danish company—celebrating the anniversary of its well-known “Winter Camper”—is now announcing a version for motorhomes.
Dukdalf, DEFA, and Umefa
Another standout at Jaarbeurs Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs is the 80-year-old Dutch company Umefa, the manufacturer of camping chairs and tables under the brand names Dukdalf and DEFA, among others. In addition, their Campking brand offers every possible part, tool, and cleaning product for tents. The Dukdalf Brillante recliner was praised in the latest ANWB test for its light weight combined with no fewer than 10 sitting and reclining positions.
No more swaying
Since 1945, the Italian company Fiamma has been supplying just about everything you need in and around your trailer or RV and at the campground. From awnings to bike racks and from roof tents to locks and hinges. With the Easy Shade, Fiamma introduces a modular system that transforms the awning into a sheltered outdoor space in the blink of an eye. In addition, the F45s and F80s awnings now come equipped with a 12V motor right from the factory, so no more manual cranking! They can be operated via a wall switch or a mobile app.
